Hey, y’all! I may have gone a little overboard with the shopping last month. In my defense, September was hard! You can’t blame a girl for partaking in a little retail therapy. Especially not when studies show that shoppers are 3 times less sad than those who just browse. Which totally justifies all these purchases. 😉 Besides, now I get to share the best of my purchases with all of you!
What I Purchased in September
I’ve used more CBD in the last few weeks than ever before. Since I’m running out, I purchased a new bottle of CBD Tincture from Osiris Organics. I love this stuff! If you want to give it a try, use code cozyincarolina for 10% off and free shipping.
CBD Tinctures are good at reducing my overall anxiety, but they don’t do much for my panic. Which is why I’m currently obsessed with CBD Smokes from the Hemp Farmacy.
Over the last few years, I’ve struggled with anxiety-related dry mouth. I’ve been fighting it with Biotene, and so far it’s working.
My dentist wanted me to start using a mouthguard at night to help with my TMJ, but I just couldn’t afford to have him make one for me right now (not with all the other more pressing medical issues I have going on). Instead, I decided to give these a try. I’m so glad I did! They’re amazing!
Since my skin is so sensitive, I pretty much air dry after my showers. The spa wrap makes my drying process less of a risky hassle. lol
Style & Beauty
I’ve never been big on daily sunscreen use because my skin reacts to most sunscreens. That all changed when my dermatologist recommended La Roche Posay! I’m a happy convert.
Every Southern girl wants two things out of their hair: curls and volume. I’m no different. haha
Finding a hairspray that doesn’t agitate sensitive skin, is like finding the proverbial needle. And I’ve found it!
I know I should make the switch to deodorant, but I can’t stand for my skin to feel damp. ::shivers:: Tom’s doesn’t cause my skin to flare, keeps me dry, and smells amazeballs.
I’m so beyond obsessed with these jammies! They’re sooo soft and luxurious. No joke, they make my heart smile.
It has been a long time since I’ve owned a pair of Levi’s, so this is a test run. I’ll let you guys know what I think.
Brandon’s gamble on these khakis paid off. He needed something thick enough to withstand job sites, but classy enough to wear to business meetings. They’re a little pricey but worth every penny!
I used our old crockpot to make soap. Oops! Maybe that’s a good thing though! This one is bigger and nicer than the one I tainted with lye. Besides, is there anything better than coming home to a pot roast that’s been slow cooking all day??
My original plan for outdoor lighting was smart bulbs. What was I thinking? My husband bought these flaming bulbs and I’m in love! They are so hyggelig.
I purchased a ton of fall scented candles at the beginning of the month. By far my favorite was Autumn Wreath by Yankee Candles.
I finally replaced our dingy kitchen towels with these beauties.
I wanted coir welcome mats with cute sayings on them like you see on Instagram, but Brandon wanted something sturdier. We went with these, and I love them!
One of my biggest goals for Cozy in Carolina at this point is to step up my photography game. Hopefully, this book helps.
Get Out of My Head has been on my wishlist for MONTHS!
Fun fact: I never saw Watchers when I was growing up. I watched it for the first time a few months ago and loved it so much I had to buy the book.
I know it’s another oldie, but it’s a goodie!
When Belle asked for a Harry Potter journal, I couldn’t say no. I mean, come on! It looks like the Maurader Map! I seriously had to.
